Join your tenant

Pruma creates each tenant and invites its first owner. Every later member is invited by someone already in the tenant. Either way, joining works the same.

  1. Get the link. Motions doesn’t send e-mail yet, so whoever invited you copies the invitation link from the app and sends it to you, by chat or e-mail. The link works for 7 days, and only for the e-mail address it was made for.

  2. Open it. The page says which tenant it’s for, who invited you, and the role you’ll have.

    • If you’re new to Motions, enter your name and choose a password of at least 8 characters.
    • If you already have an account with that e-mail, for another tenant, enter your password instead.
    • If you’re signed in as someone else, sign out first; an invitation only works for its own address.
  3. Choose the tenant. You land in the tenant. If you belong to several, the app asks which one, and you can switch at any time from the top bar.

Your handle is the short name Motions knows you by: in a motion’s approvers, as the owner of a question queue, and in every batch’s activity log. It looks like hugo or ana-souza: lowercase letters, digits, - and _, starting with a letter.

Unless the invitation set one, your handle comes from the start of your e-mail address: hugo.silva@example.com becomes hugo-silva. If someone in the tenant already has it, a number is added, such as hugo-silva2.

Find it in Settings → Members. An admin can change it there with Change handle….

There’s no self-serve password reset yet. Ask an owner or admin of your tenant: in Settings → Members, the menu next to your name has Password reset link…, which gives them a link to send you.

Your role decides what you can do in this tenant. You have the same account in every tenant you belong to, but a role in each.

Role What it’s for
Owner Everything, including making other owners.
Admin Manages members, motions, sources and settings, including the CRM connection and API tokens.
Approver Publishes motions and approves changesets.
Member Opens and follows batches, and answers questions.

The full list of what each role may do is in Roles and permissions.
