Answer and approve

Open Questions, or the Questions tab of a batch. Each question shows the company, the step that asked, the prompt, the evidence the step found, and the options. If the step suggested an answer, it’s marked.

Choose an option. The company moves on at once: its step runs again with your answer, or, if the option holds or drops it, it leaves the batch.

From the keyboard: J and K move between questions, 1 to 9 pick an option, A accepts the suggestion, and Enter opens the question.

You can answer a question if it’s in your queue or you’re an approver of the motion. Otherwise the answer is refused, and the reason says whose queue it is.

A question in a queue with a deadline shows how long is left. At the deadline, it takes the queue’s default, and the batch moves on. You can still answer it afterwards and the company is re-decided, until it’s sealed in a changeset.

When a step has suggested answers, approvers can accept them in bulk: Accept on the questions page takes every suggestion in view, or choose which. High-risk suggestions are only accepted when you pick them. Each accepted answer re-runs its step as if you had picked it yourself.

A changeset waits for approval in the batch’s Changesets tab, and on Today for its approvers.

  1. Read it. Each operation is listed by company: what it creates or changes, and for changes, the value before and after.
  2. Approve or reject. Approve, then Approve and write, writes it. Reject, then Reject changeset, writes nothing and holds its companies.
  3. Check the receipts. Each operation ends up written, skipped with the reason, or failed with the CRM’s error.

Only the motion’s approvers can approve or reject. It’s all or nothing: to leave one company out, someone should have held it before the changeset sealed.

A checkpoint holds every company until its time or event, and shows what it’s waiting for on the Overview tab. An approver can let them through early: More actions → Release <checkpoint>. Companies still on their way pass straight through when they get there.
